The free ride is over. Wall Street corporations and the super-rich, who caused and have profited from this crisis, must pay.

The $2.5 billion dollars in new cuts scheduled for December cannot be passed on to students and workers. On November 9th and 16th, we will demand that board members and administrators of our schools and universities pledge to:
  • Publicly support forthcoming ballot initiatives and legislation to increase taxes on Wall St. and California’s super rich in 2012.
  • Reverse the tuition hikes, layoffs, and cuts.

UC Berkeley: 8am: Teach-outs, Sproul | noon: Walkout and march from Sproul | 5pm: General assembly, Occupy Cal Encampment

UC Los Angeles: noon: Rally and march from Bruin Plaza | 4pm: Gather on campus and march to Bank of America in Westwood (UTLA teachers will join us) | 5pm: Citywide actions (locations TBA)

UC Santa Cruz: noon: Rally at Quarry Plaza and march to base of campus | 2pm: Education, food, music and gathering at base of campus

UC Santa Barbara: 3pm: Gather at the harbor

UC Riverside: noon: Rally and march from the Bell Tower

UC Davis: noon: Rally at Mondavi Center

UC San Francisco: noon: Rally at 513 Parnassus (in front of Medical Center)

UC Irvine: noon: Gather at flagpole (teach-ins, rally, and march)

UC San Diego: noon: Library walk in front of Geisel Library

Wednesday, November 16th
UC Berkeley: 7am: Bus pickup begins at Bancroft & Telegraph for actions

UC Los Angeles: 7am: Pickup begins at the Ackerman union turnaround for buses to actions
at the Trustees meeting in Long Beach and downtown LA

UC Riverside: 7am- 9am: Bus pickup to CSU Trustees meeting from Unity Corner, University and Canyon Crest in front of the UCR Art Building

UC Irvine: 9am: Bus pickup to the CSU Trustees meeting in front of the flagpoles

UC San Francisco: 10am: Assemble at Mission Bay for the Regents meeting
