Items that impact UPTE-CWA represented employees are underlined:
- Provides funding ($29.3 million at UC and $7 million at CSU) to restore outreach programs. CSU to use $45 million in redirected funds to restore outreach to $52 million level.
- Alters Governor's proposed Dual Admissions program to make student participation voluntary and provides $21.1 million to CSU to "backfill" the reduction proposed by the Governor associated with this program. UC to use $12 million of internal funds to support the return of any previously-redirected freshman.
- Provides $12.2 million to support approximately 0.6% enrollment growth at CSU.
- Fails to provide enrollment growth funding for UC.
- Increases fees by 30 percent for professional school students, making professional level education less affordable for financially-needy students and students wishing to serve the public interest upon graduation.
- Increases fees by 25 percent for CSU graduate students as opposed to 20 percent at UC and 20 percent for nursing and teacher credentialing students.
- Does not provide a COLA for either UC or CSU.
- Cuts approximately $200 million from the core academic and instructional programs of the UC ($80.7 million) and CSU ($106.1 million).
- Reduces state-supported research at UC in areas such as agriculture, social policy, and health sciences by $11.6 million
