WE’LL STRIKE TO PROTECT OUR PENSIONS

UC wants to undercut the pension and retiree health
benefits of all UC employees, and they are using health care
professionals bargaining in a divide-and-conquer strategy.

This is the only issue on the table. UC is holding up a
contract settlement for health care professionals (HX unit)
to force us to be the first employee group to agree to extra
pension contributions.

We want to focus on patient care and not unnecessary bargaining conflicts. UPTE and the university could easily agree to a contract today if UC were not making this an issue.
