Section 1. Eligibility. Members of UPTE CWA 9119 who are or may be retired for any reason may elect to continue to be active members or to assume the status of associate members. Associate members lose voting privileges but shall not be required to pay dues.

Section 3. Retired Members' Chapter
a. All associate and active dues paying members of UPTE-CWA Local 9119 who are or may be retired shall be eligible to join the UPTE-CWA Local 9119 Retired Members' Chapter.
b. If the applicant was a member of the union in good standing at the time of her or his retirement, she or he shall be admitted to membership in the Retiree Members' Club upon application..
c. Application for a CWA Retiree Members' Chapter charter shall be signed by at least five (5) persons eligible for membership in the Club.
d. The Retired Members' Club shall be a system wide organization of UPTE-CWA Local 9119.
e. The Retired Members' Chapter shall conduct annual elections of an Executive Board that shall include a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Recording Secretary and five (5) Members-at-Large. The Retired Members Chapter shall also elect annually one (1) Trustee. The term of Trustee shall be two (2) years. In 2008, 1 Trustee shall be elected to a two (2) year term.
f. Commencing in 2008, and in accordance with Appendix B (Elections Code), the Retired Members' Chapter shall elect a representative to the UPTE-CWA Local 9119 Executive Board with a 3 year term of office.
