UCLA Employees March in Protest
over Proposed Salary Cuts & Furloughs!
Dear UPTE
Employees,
Here is a report on the
mobilizing event that the union coalition held at Pauley Pavilion on
June 24 before the Town Hall Meeting concerning the budget on June 24.
We
had well over 2,500
union members turnout for the event, and over 100 marched with pickets
by the building's entrance.
We had media coverage from ABC, the Daily Bruin and the Los Angeles
Times. The L.A. Times' article is here:

For more facts, here are 2 flyers to review, and to print out and share
with your coworkers and your state legislators and senators:

We hope that
the action sent the
message to UC that UCLA's union-represented employees will not accept
any furloughs or salary cuts and UPTE will continue fighting as long
and hard as our brothers and sisters in the other UC Unions who are
threatened as well!
Below
are some pictures from the event. Thank you to all who
participated.
